A little over a month I posted pictures I got to take of our good friend’s second child Levi. They asked if I could take some photos of there newly extended family. Sherrie had an idea of taking pictures in a field and I had just the place in mind. I have been thinking about this field I pass by every week, it’s a semi enclosed field in industrial Irvine beside Applied Medical.  Here they are, the Williams 2.0.

Over the last week I pulled out my old 35mm film Minolta, my first camera I got back in juniorhigh. Shooting digital I have forgotten how light my film camera actually was. It could be that there is not much to the X-370n, manual without the frills and plastic body not metal. Anyways, I thought I would shoot it along with my other film camera (Zeiss Ikon Contina) that I picked up around 2005 (I think). These cameras seem to be more of antique items now than anything else. Maybe someday I will go back to film. Maybe not!

“I’m with the DJ”! I got the chance to be the photographer at a wedding that was not the wedding photographer but the DJ photographer at the amazingly beautiful Chart House in Dana Point. My brother-in-law owns a very successful OC wedding and event DJ business Elevated Pulse Productions and asked if I could take some action shots and some non-traditional promo style headshots. Take a look at what we got. I also added some pics of the location. Thanks Brian!

My good friend’s over at the Patient’s Guide asked if I could do some action/working shots of them in their new office space. This was all done with a shop light, a white reflector and an SB600 Nikon flash. Something new an challenging with the light setup, but we all had a lot of fun and I think we got some pretty decent shots. For a full run down of the lighting setup click here. Thanks Patient’s Guide.
